Free Printable Certificate
Free Printable Invitations
Feel free to use this image to create your own invitations. I used Photoshop and some free graphics I found online to design these. Open the image in Photoshop and add the information for your own recital, then print! Two will fit on a page and each invitation will be slightly smaller than 5x7". However, you can resize the images if you need to in Photoshop.

Petrie Family Music
I just found a wonderful new website with free downloadable LDS music. Craig Petrie creates beautiful arrangements of familiar hymns for choirs, and the piano part is really fun to play and just as pretty. Our choir is working on "Did You Think to Pray," and I just love it! Check out his site:

Pine Apple Rag
I LOVE this song! I discovered it a couple of months ago, and it so fun to listen to and to play. Here is a great video I found on YouTube. It doesn't sound difficult; he makes it look and sound easy! But, just try to get your left hand to bounce back and forth that quickly and accurately!
To print your own copy:
Go to: The Petrucci Music Library The Petrucci Music Library (http://imslp.org/wiki/Main_Page)
On the left side, under "Browse Scores," click "Composer Name"
At the top, click the letter "J"
Scroll down, and click "Joplin, Scott"
Click "Pine Apple Rag"
Inside the first gray box, click "Complete Score." This will take you to a disclaimer page about the legality of downloading the song. Yes, it is legal to download this song in the United States; it is in the public domain.
Click "I accept this disclaimer" then you can download the song.

Take a Piano Sheet Music Break
I found a new piano site that I really like. Check out http://www.take-a-piano-sheet-music-break.com for a collection of great, free sheet music. I really like this site because it's layout is clean and organized. It has a nice collection of classical, jazz and pop music, too.
I printed off the song "Only Hope" from the movie A Walk to Remember from this site. If you'd like your own copy, click on the above link. On the left side of the homepage, click "Free Popular" inside the black box. Scroll down to "Mandy Moore," and you'll see two versions of the song. The first one is simplified, but both versions are beautiful. They're PDF files, so just save them to your computer, print off, and play!
Have fun looking around their site. You'll find songs from Billy Joel, Coldplay, Phil Collins, Christina Aguilera, and many more. Happy playing!
*I added the link for the Take a Piano Sheet Music Break site to the right hand sidebar of this blog, so you can easily access it another time.

Love Story meets Viva la Vida
Jon Schmidt combines Taylor Swift's Love Story with Coldplay's Viva la Vida. I could listen to this a million times over and never get tired of it.
Here is the link to the video on YouTube:

If that doesn't work, just go to YouTube and search for Jon Schmidt and Viva la Vida. Enjoy!
